Adam Stevens Footballing CV Name: Adam Paul Stevens DOB: 20/05/1992 Height: 181cm/5ft11 Weight: 79-84kg/12st7lb-13st4lb Preferred foot: Right Preferred Glove Brand: TwoFive (Sponsored) Preferred Boot Brand: Adidas Current Location: Manchester Current Club: Bangor City FC Languages spoken: English/Spanish (learning) Transfermarket https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-stevens/profil/spieler/862084 Instagram @apstevensgk YouTube https://youtu.be/LlBMpIcmxh8 https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCyqJ9kUi3z-Y_PxBYxy1Jcg/videos About my footballing style/game My strongest area of my game I believe is my communication and shot stopping. These are two of the most fundamental tools I believe a goalkeeper need to be successful. I am also very comfortable with commanding my area and will come for everything in and around my box I feel I can make. I like to make my mind up early and if I feel I cannot get there I will give the call and if needed make the save. I am more than comfortable with the ball at my feet and playing at the back, however I am always working on that area of the game as a it did not come natural to me. Finally, I do like to sweep around my defence to try and neutralise attacks without making a save. Overall I would say I am more of an agile shot stopping goalkeeper who likes to command his back line. I use my frame and strength to win balls in the air but make decisions early and stick with them. My hands are very good and I trust myself with the ball at my feet. I have a strong mindset and lead from the back. Junior/Youth team football As a young boy I started goalkeeping from the age of 3. I always had a passion for it, never scared of being hurt and always wanted to be the best. I was a part of a team in my former home city Preston called Red Rose Rangers and had a lot of success as a young lad winning leagues and tournaments. When I reached the age of 9/10 I was picked up by Preston North End. Unfortunately I was never offered a contract with Preston but I moved into Senior football When leaving school, I was picked to be a part of the football development team at Selby College and I was also a part of step 4 side Goole AFC at the age of 16. I worked hard on my game and made my first appearance for Goole AFC against Radcliffe Borough in a tough 1-1 draw. During this time, I was watched by various clubs like Leeds United, Hull City and Scunthorpe United. Senior Football I spent 5/6 years at step 4 side Goole AFC. Whilst there I played a large number of games having a very successful time as a young goalkeeper under various managers. I was learning the game and took it upon myself to get more physical and work on areas that were weak in my game at the time. Finally, when I was at Goole I was also playing for my University side after leaving college. I played for the University of Hull 1st team where we had great successes. I left Goole after the budget of the club was pulled. I was then a part of Step 2 side North Ferriby United where I was training with the first team waiting for my opportunity to break into the number 1 shirt. I was loaned out to various clubs to get more senior experience in all non league English football levels (steps 6-3). More recently I have represented Glossop North End & professional football side Airbus Broughton from the Welsh premier division. I have just had Successful trails at AEZ Zakakiou but contract negotiations broke down after they told me they could not afford to pay me. I trialed with CD Rozas CF in the Segunda B division but no contract was offered. I was due to trial with Cypriot Division 2 side Kouris Erimis. The trial was cancelled due to Covid 19 but I have been offered back for the 21/22 season. I was offered a contract with another Cypriot 2nd division side ASIL Lysi. I turned this down due to Covid restrictions. I have Been offered to train and trail With Connahs Quay in the Welsh premier, who also compete in the Europa League and when I was training with them was competing in the champions league. The trial went well with good feedback, the experience to play with players who compete in the champions league was excellent. No contract was offered but an invite to continue training with the squad was. I have now signed for Bangor City FC on a 6 month professional full time contract. I arrived in the January transfer window to compete for the starting jersey. The 2020-21 season has been cancelled due to Covid 19. I am now able to cancel my contract to join other teams. List of Clubs Trialled with/Represented/Signed for) - Goole AFC (Step 4) - Barton Town (Step 5) - North Ferriby United (Step 2 & 3) - Glossop North End (Step 4) - AirBus Broughton (Welsh Premier)[Professional] Trial Contract unable to complete due to transfer window - AEZ Zakakiou (Cypriot 2nd Division)[Professional] Trial Contract turned down - CD Rozas CF (Spanish Segunda B Division)[Professional] Trial No Contract Offered - Kouris Erimis (Cypriot 2nd Division)[Professional] Trial Cancelled due to COVID-19, offered back for next season. - Connahs Quay (Welsh Premier & champions league)[Professional] Trial Start Tuesday 8th December 2020 - Bangor City (Welsh Division 1) [Professional] Contract 31st January 2021 6 Months References: Chris Appleton Goalkeeper coach at Various non league English Clubs I have worked with Adam on a number of occasions and each time, I have been impressed by his level of professionalism towards each session. His standards of fitness and professional courtesy during sessions and in his own time is second to none. Constantly fit and each sessions maximum effort from start to finish.. Tom Conway Football league U18-23s goalkeeper coach I worked with Adam over an 8 week period prior to his move to AEZ Zakakiou. Throughout this period Adam showcased his goalkeeping qualities both in and out of possession. I believe he has the ability and physical characteristics to play professional football, in particular overseas. Out of Possession practices are where Adam flourishes. He has the ability to make saves from both long and close distances. He consistently produces effective actions when he is required to do so but he will look to retain possession when able to do so. Adam shows a clear understanding of the position and what is required to effectively defend the area. Throughout our time together he began to adopt a more positive start position, which allowed him to deal with high balls into the box. As a result of his continued focus on the development and demands of the modern game, he is able to defend the space between himself and the defensive line. The In Possession phase of the game was monitored in training and Adam has shown he is capable of retaining, recycling & playing through in order to allow his team to POFTB. However one strength Adam has showcased, is his ability to play over longer distance with a range of distribution techniques i.e. Driven passes, half volley, side volley etc. Physically, Adam is robust and is capable of dealing with the high demands of professional football. He has an excellent vertical jump and moves powerfully around the goal. He accelerates quickly from a standing position and would perform well in the majority of physical screening tests. Throughout our training program Adam utilised technology to support his development, which has only benefitted his performances in training and games. Adam has a relentless attitude to win and succeed. I believe he would be an excellent signing for any professional football team overseas and would only strengthen their goalkeeping department.
